NUR152 - Shingles (1.0 HR)

Purpose: The participant will better understand herpes zoster and its treatment and prevention. Objectives: 1. Describe herpes zoster or shingles; 2.Discuss post-herpetic neuralgia and its treatment; 3. Explain immunization protocol for herpes zoster (shingles); 4. Discuss ways to prevent the transmission of herpes zoster in the healthcare setting.
