ALL108 - Activities for Residents Needing 1:1 or Individualized Activities (1.5 HR)

Purpose: Activity professionals will review and gain knowledge of assessing, planning, evaluating and implementing 1:1 activities for the bed bound, room bound, or isolated resident. Objectives: 1. Use information from assessment and care planning forms to develop appropriate 1:1 activities for the resident; 2. Identify which residents have a greater need for 1:1 activities; 3. Determine appropriate bedside activities for the resident who is unable to come out for activities; 4. Develop an activity plan for residents with a variety of special needs such as vision or hearing impairment, those in isolation, chronic illnesses, confusion, etc.; Increase understanding of time management techniques.
