MGR105 - Drug-Free Workplace: Two Hour Supervisor Training (Iowa) (2.0 HR)
Purpose: To provide information in accordance with Iowa law that a supervisor needs to develop and/or implement a substance abuse prevention program, including drug and/or alcohol testing, in the workplace setting. Objectives: 1. Provide guidelines for making a decision for drug testing in your facility; 2. Assist in the development of a comprehensive prevention program designed to detect and deal with substance abuse issues; 3. Increase the supervisor’s ability to recognize evidence of employee alcohol and other drug abuse; 4. Help improve skills in documentation and corroboration of employee alcohol and other drug abuse problems; 5. Provide guidelines for investigating situations related to substance abuse; 6. Improve the supervisor’s skills in validating and confronting employees with substance abuse problems; 7. Increase the supervisor’s knowledge of the basic requirements for drug testing.
